The year end heralds more rain, and this can be sadly disruptive for golfers. Fortunately, NSRCC has a rain check policy in place. In the event that the course is deemed unplayable due to inclement weather, rain checks will be issue. These rain checks are vouchers which allow affected golfers a chance to golf another day.
Golfers who have paid for 18 hole games will be compensated with a rain check for the uncompleted nine subject to the following conditions:
- Morning sessions golfers who can only complete 9 holes or less and unable to cross-over to the second nine to tee-off before 11.45 am.
- Afternoon sessions golfers who can only complete 9 holes or less and are unable to cross-over to the second nine to tee-off due to course closure or darkness.
Terms and Conditions
- Golfers must produce their course tickets when claiming for rain checks.
- 50% discount on the green fee ONLY (buggy and day fees are not applicable) for weekday/weekend games.
- Valid for one (1) month from the date of play.
- Not transferable or redeemable for cash.
When two or more players/teams have exactly the same total score (gross, nett or points) for a round or all rounds, ranking of these players or teams may be decided using "On Count Back" analysis (OCB).
OCB is used frequently for non-professional tournaments. It allows players or teams to determine the winners without the trouble of going into "sudden-death" play. OCB is usually not applicable for professional tournament and players or teams with same total scores are given the same ranking. The player or teams at the top (or leader board) usually have to play additional holes to decide the champions.
By default system will apply OCB and rank the players or teams accordingly.
OCB is performed by system as follows:
OCB for a Round
1) The total score (gross, nett or points) of the players or teams for the 9 holes of the back or 2nd nine (i.e. the IN nine) is used to decide the placing. The player or team with lower gross or nett, or higher points, is placed higher in the ranking.
2) If analysis 1) results in same total score, the total score of the players or teams for the last 6 holes of the back nine is used to decide the placing. The player or team with lower gross or nett, or higher points is placed higher in the ranking.
3) If analysis 2) results in same total score, the total score of the players or teams for the last 3 holes of the back nine is used to decide the placing. The player or team with lower gross or nett, or higher points is placed higher in the ranking.
4) If analysis 3) results in same total score, the ranking shall be decided on "hole -by- hole" basis, starting from the 18th to the 1st hole. The moment a hole that can decide the ranking is found, the player or team with lower gross or nett, or higher points, is placed higher in the ranking.
5) If analysis 4) results in same score, the players or teams will be given same placing. Ranking of next player or team following these players or teams will skip to a number equals to 1 plus the number of players or teams ranked so far.
