Environmentalists and conservationists among our members will be heartened to note that the NSRCC has obtained certification and re-certification as the Audubon Cooperative Sanctuary by the Audubon International. This is a testament to NSRCC’s commitment to leveraging eco-friendly practices in water conservation and water quality management, wildlife and habitat management, and outreach, and education. The NSRCC is dedicated to making a positive contribution to our environment by leveraging ecofriendly practices to promote a peaceful sanctuary for flora and fauna to flourish. Some practices embraced incorporate preserving biodiversity, promoting ecological balance through promoting a harmonious co-existence between our golfers and nature while bolstering efforts to irrigate more economically. As our golf courses offer a lush habitat for plants and wildlife, members wandering through our grounds may spot a variety of trees, flowers and wildlife species during their rounds on our golf courses.

Members may stumble upon the ixoras, frangipanis, Chinese violets, East Indian rosebays, torch lilies and charming lantan camara ‘Mutablis’. Our reception and drop off porch feature Tabernaemontana, Star Jasmine, Ruellia Purple, Bamboo Orchids, Bridelia, and Cuphea purple. The pond in front of Fairway Bistro at NSRCC Changi depicts lotus flowers and water lettuces. The landscaped structure opposite Fairway Bistro at NSRCC Changi showcases the Mussandra, Heliconia, Bridelia, Canna lily, and Butter daisy. NSRCC nurtures native species and suitable plant species, so visits to the NSRCC would always be greeted by the warm arms of nature. These flowers brighten the way, and the day, for members and guests alike.

Beyond the blossoms, the NSRCC has specially curated the design of its golf courses as nature spots to provide safe havens for migratory birds. You may glimpse majestic herons and elegant egrets, providing a home away from home for many species of wildlife to rest, and breed. Our golf courses are also teeming with native species such as kingfishers, yellow bitterns, the iridescent blue-tailed bee-eater, and monitor lizards. These idyllic sanctuaries are interwoven into the tapestry of the golf course design, enabling migratory birds to rest and nest, while providing joy to those who chance upon them. At NSRCC, golf and nature live in harmony – each parcel of land is a part of an ecosystem pulsating with life, nurturing the hearts of our members, golfers, and our planet.
