Sustainability Initiatives at the NSRCC

With climate change posing an existential threat, the National Service Resort and Country Club (NSRCC) Changi and NSRCC Kranji have leveraged sustainability initiatives in our premises to stay green, in line with ‘The Sustainable Development’ and the ‘Singapore Green Plan 2030.’ Our commitment to sustainability ensures that our luxurious bungalows, swimming pools, pristine lakes and verdant greens can be enjoyed for generations to come.

Sustainability Initiatives

Climate change poses an existential threat in our lives. Singapore continues to experience higher temperatures, heavier downpours, erratic rainfalls, rising sea levels, and more pronounced dry spells. 

Both NSRCC Changi and NSRCC Kranji have also embraced sustainability initiatives in our premises to stay green, aligning our operations with ‘The 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development’ and the ‘Singapore Green Plan 2030’. Ahead of World Environment Day on June 5, we share some sustainable initiatives the NSRCC has adopted.

Bungalows | Sustainable mini toiletries packaging

The mini toiletries are recyclable and biodegradable.

Around the Club  | Air-Conditioning System Improvements

Air-Conditioning Systems have been replaced by five-tick energy-saving models, motion sensors, and system improvements to curtail power consumption, optimise air-conditioning performance, ensure efficient energy usage, while stemming costs.

Around the Club | Electric Vehicle (EV) Charging

EV charging stations have been installed to support sustainable transportation and reduce carbon emissions.

Around the Club | Water Conservation Measures

The main swimming pool, wading pool, and wet play balancing tank monitoring system, drainage water channel, water taps with sensors and rain showers bolster water efficiency, mitigating wastage. Abnormal water usage is monitored while leaks are identified.

Around the Club | Lighting Efficiency

Timers, motion sensors, and LED lights have been installed to curtail unnecessary power consumption and energy usage.

Golf Course | Solar Powered Aerators

These solar powered aerators provide renewable clean energy, improved water quality, generate higher cost savings, mitigate greenhouse gas emissions, while reducing our carbon footprint.

Loading Bay |  E-Waste Recycling Bins

The e-waste collected will be delivered to e-waste recyclers for material recovery and channelled back into production to mitigate our environmental impact.
